Every burial site at Wattlewood is a premium location. As revegetation progresses, every grave will become shaded by native trees and vegetation. You can choose between unallocated and allocated sites. There is a difference in pricing between unallocated and allocated sites. Allocated sites include a ‘future access fee’ that covers the ongoing cost of keeping reserved sites open and accessible (sometimes for decades) for future use.

Only fully biodegradable caskets and shrouds are permitted within Wattlewood. A beautiful selection from the earthcraft™ range is available to ensure a tasteful and sustainable return to the earth.

Chemical embalming is not a part of the natural burial process. This eliminates the introduction of toxic chemicals into the soil. Natural-fibre clothing (such as cotton, wool, linen, or silk) is used to support the most natural return of the body to the earth. Interments with small items of personal jewellery made from gold, silver, or other natural metals and materials are welcome.

Wattlewood offers personal memorialisation at a dedicated memorial and gathering area on site, as well as expansive on-line options. Burial locations are permanently recorded using highly accurate GPS systems and secure digital mapping.

Traditional monuments, headstones, concrete borders, fences, artificial ornaments, and individual grave markings are not used so as to preserve the integrity of the natural landscape.
