Wattlewood is a protected natural burial ground and ecological restoration landscape on Ngarrindjeri Country, Goolwa.

A Quiet, Enduring Alternative

Wattlewood is a place where people are buried simply and naturally within regenerating native bushland. Every burial contributes to the long-term restoration and protection of land, habitat, and biodiversity.

All burial and ashes interments at Wattlewood are perpetual. Rights of Interment do not expire, renewal periods do not apply, and burial locations remain permanently recorded within Wattlewood’s secure mapping and digital memorial systems.

Your return to the earth is fully protected.

Remembering Those We Love

While traditional markers and headstones are not used, remembrance is woven directly into the landscape. Families can choose to place a personalised, Memorial Leaf onto our central memorial installation—a shared artwork integrated into the natural burial ground. Digital location records and online memorial pages are permanently maintained through the Chronicle platform.
